Here's a basic recipe for preparing Panko Parmesan Crusted Halibut:

Ingredients:

- 4 halibut fillets, about 6-8 ounces each

- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

- 1 teaspoon lemon zest

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 2 tablespoons melted butter

- Salt and black pepper to taste

- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil (for pan-searing)

- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

- Fresh herbs or additional grated Parmesan for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

   - Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

2. Prepare the Crust Mixture:

   - In a bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped fresh parsley, lemon zest, minced garlic, melted butter, salt, and black pepper.

   - Stir well to create the panko Parmesan crust mixture.

3. Coat the Halibut:

   - Pat the halibut fillets dry with paper towels. This helps the crust adhere better to the fish.

   - Brush the fillets with a small amount of olive oil.

4. Apply the Crust:

   - Press each halibut fillet into the panko Parmesan crust mixture, coating both sides and pressing the mixture onto the fish to ensure it adheres well.

5. Sear the Halibut:

   - In an ovenproof skillet, heat 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.

   - Add the coated halibut fillets to the hot skillet.

   - Sear the fish for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the crust is golden brown. This step helps create a crispy exterior before finishing in the oven.

6. Finish in the Oven:

   - Transfer the skillet with the seared halibut fillets to the preheated oven.

   - Bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.

7. Serve:

   - Once the Panko Parmesan Crusted Halibut is done, remove it from the oven.

   - Garnish with fresh herbs or additional grated Parmesan if desired.

   - Serve hot, with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor. Enjoy!
